Appalachia Sings! at the NC ACDA Fall Conference

Choral directors, mark your calendars! The North Carolina chapter of the American Choral Directors Association heads to the mountains for its fall conference, held October 9–10, 2026, in Asheville, NC. This year's theme, "Appalachia Sings!", celebrates heritage, community, and renewal, a fitting focus for a gathering in the heart of the Blue Ridge. 

Leading the weekend is composer and conductor Jake Runestad, the headlining clinician, whose choral works are sung by choirs around the world. Sessions will take place at First Baptist Church Asheville, 5 Oak Street, and J.W. Pepper is supplying the reading session materials.
